As a Translator Mandarin, you will play a vital role in facilitating communication between our organisation and Mandarin-speaking stakeholders, ensuring accurate and culturally appropriate translations across various business documents and interactions.

Key responsibilities

Translate business documents, correspondence, and communications from Mandarin Chinese to Indonesian and English, and vice versa, with accuracy and attention to detail

• Provide interpretation services during meetings, conferences, and negotiations involving Mandarin-speaking parties
• Ensure translations maintain the intended meaning, tone, and context of original materials
• Manage translation timelines and prioritise workload to meet organisational deadlines
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive business information
• Collaborate with various departments to understand terminology and specific requirements for accurate translations
• Proofread translated documents to ensure quality and consistency with company standards
• Support administrative functions related to international communications and correspondence
• What we're looking for
• Fluency in Mandarin Chinese (both written and spoken) with native or near-native proficiency
• Strong command of Indonesian and English languages, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proven experience as a translator or interpreter, preferably in a business or administrative environment
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all translation work
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple translation projects simultaneously
• Professional approach to confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive materials
• Cultural awareness and understanding of nuances in Mandarin Chinese communication
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with translation software and tools is advantageous
