About the role

• PT ZOLA GLOBAL TRADING is seeking a
• Translator Mandarin

to join our administrative and office support team. This is a full-time position based in Kabupaten Tangerang, Banten. As a Translator Mandarin, you will play a crucial role in facilitating effective communication between our international operations and Mandarin-speaking partners, clients, and stakeholders. Your translation expertise will directly support our business expansion and operational efficiency in the Asia-Pacific region, making this position integral to our company's success in global trade and commerce.

Key responsibilities

Translating business documents, contracts, correspondence and communications from Mandarin to English and English to Mandarin with accuracy and cultural sensitivity

• Providing simultaneous and consecutive interpretation services during business meetings, negotiations, and conferences
• Ensuring all translated materials maintain the original meaning, tone and intent whilst adapting them appropriately for the target audience
• Proofreading and quality-checking translated documents to guarantee linguistic accuracy and consistency with company terminology
• Liaising with internal departments to clarify technical terms, industry-specific vocabulary and contextual requirements
• Maintaining confidentiality of sensitive business information and proprietary materials
• Managing translation projects with tight deadlines whilst maintaining high quality standards
• Supporting administrative tasks related to international business communications and documentation
• What we're looking for
• Fluent proficiency in both Mandarin Chinese and English, with native or near-native level competency required
• Proven experience as a professional translator or interpreter, ideally within international business, trade or commercial environments
• Strong understanding of business terminology and commercial practices in both English and Mandarin-speaking contexts
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages
• Attention to detail with the ability to maintain accuracy whilst working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines
• Certification in translation or interpretation, or formal training in linguistics or languages is preferred
• Familiarity with translation software and office management systems
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team within a fast-paced environment
• Professional discretion and commitment to maintaining client and business confidentiality
