Welder

The Welder Specialist is responsible for performing welding, repair, and fabrication work on steam pipes, boilers, sterilizers, loading ramps, storage tanks, and other industrial equipment. The role also requires specialized welding on high-wear components, ensuring all work meets safety, quality, and technical standards.

• Key Responsibilities
• Perform welding, repair, and maintenance of steam pipes, boilers, sterilizers, loading ramps, and storage tanks.
• Conduct specialized welding on high-wear components, including screw presses, digesters, elevators and palm oil distribution chutes.
• Operate various welding processes, including SMAW and GMAW/MIG, as well as cutting torches and grinders.
• Interpret technical drawings and fabrication plans for the cutting, assembly and installation of pipes, steel structures, plates and chutes.
• Perform steel structure fabrication, including cutting, shaping, fitting and assembly in accordance with technical specifications.
• Ensure all welding and fabrication activities comply with applicable safety procedures, quality standards and technical requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience.
• Minimum 3 years of demonstrated proficiency in 3G welding and 2 years in 6G welding.
• Valid 6G welding certification with at least 2 years of validity remaining.
• Minimum education of SMK, preferably in Mechanical, Welding or a related technical field.
• Strong understanding of welding, fabrication, and industrial maintenance practices.
