BMS Engineer

We are seeking an experienced BMS Engineer to join our Data Center Engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, operating, and optimizing the Building Management System (BMS) and other critical monitoring and control systems that ensure the reliability, efficiency, and availability of our Data Center infrastructure.

You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to support construction, expansion, commissioning, and operational excellence across our facilities.

• Key Responsibilities
• Develop and implement policies, standards, processes, and procedures to ensure maximum system availability and operational consistency.
• Implement and manage Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) and Building Management System (BMS) projects.
• Design, review, and implement upgrades or modifications to BMS, control, electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems.
• Provide technical review and engineering oversight of consultants' designs for Data Center construction and expansion projects.
• Develop and maintain engineering standards, specifications, and best practices for BMS and control systems.
• Participate in the evaluation and selection of critical equipment for Data Center infrastructure projects.
• Ensure quality control throughout the design, installation, and commissioning phases of projects.
• Lead engineering decisions that support the reliability and availability of BMS and control systems.
• Oversee commissioning and integrated systems testing for mechanical, HVAC, and control systems in new and retrofit projects.
• Develop energy-efficient control strategies to optimize cooling system performance and overall facility efficiency.
• Ensure all as-built drawings and technical documentation are accurate and up to date.
• Prepare capital project budgets, technical evaluations, and project justifications.
• Provide technical support for troubleshooting and resolving issues related to BMS, PLC, DDC, and monitoring systems.
• Travel occasionally to project sites as required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.

Minimum 5 years of professional engineering experience, including at least 3 years in Building Management Systems (BMS), Data Center controls, construction, operations, maintenance, or project planning.

• Strong knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS), HVAC control systems, and reliability engineering principles.
• Good understanding of Data Center electrical infrastructure, VESDA, fire protection systems, and generator fuel systems.

Familiarity with Ethernet networks, virtualization environments, storage systems, and Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) platforms.

Hands-on experience with BMS, HVAC systems, chilled water and condenser water systems, pumps, AHUs, CRAC units, raised floor systems, and DDC, PLC, and DCS-based control and monitoring systems.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
• Able to manage multiple technical projects and perform effectively under pressure.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD and/or Visio, and project management software.
