COST ACCOUNTING SUPERVISOR
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in
- Cost Accounting / Costing
- , preferably at Supervisor level in a
- manufacturing industry
- Strong understanding of
- Cost Accounting and Manufacturing Accounting processes
- Experienced in calculating and analyzing
- Cost of Goods Manufactured (COGM)
- and
- Cost of Goods Sold (COGS)
- Experienced in
- standard costing, actual costing, cost variance analysis, and cost control
- Experienced in
- product cost calculation, price setting, and cost variance analysis
- Good understanding of
- manufacturing processes, production costs, direct and indirect costs, overhead allocation, and inventory costing
- Able to analyze material, labor, and manufacturing overhead costs and identify cost variances.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, leadership, and teamwork skills.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially
- Microsoft Excel
- Fluent in
- English, both oral and written
Job Description
- Supervise and review daily
- cost accounting activities
- and ensure the accuracy and completeness of cost-related financial data.
- Calculate and analyze
- product costing, COGM, and COGS
- based on production activities and financial data.
- Prepare and maintain
- standard cost and actual cost
- calculations for products.
- Analyze
- cost variances
- between standard and actual costs, including material, labor, and manufacturing overhead variances.
- Monitor and control
- manufacturing costs
- to support cost efficiency and profitability.
- Review and control
- product price setting
- based on cost structure, production costs, and other relevant factors.
- Analyze production costs and provide recommendations for
- cost reduction and cost improvement
- Monitor and analyze
- inventory valuation, material consumption, and production-related costs
- Prepare and analyze
- monthly cost accounting reports
- and provide insights regarding cost performance and variances.
- Check and verify
- financial transactions and accounting records
- related to manufacturing and cost accounting activities.
- Support the preparation and analysis of
- forecast and actual financial reports
- , particularly those related to manufacturing costs and profitability.
- Coordinate with
- Production, Purchasing, Warehouse, Finance, and other related departments
- to ensure accurate cost data and proper cost allocation.
- Supervise, guide, and evaluate the performance of the
- Cost Accounting team
- Ensure compliance with applicable
- accounting policies, company procedures, and internal controls
- Support the accounting closing process and ensure timely completion of
- monthly and annual closing activities
- Perform other accounting and financial analysis tasks as assigned by management.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in
- electronics, electrical, automotive, medical device, or other discrete manufacturing industries
- is preferred.
- Experience using
- ERP systems
- and accounting systems.
- Experience in
- budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- is an advantage.
- Experience in
- cost reduction / cost-down projects
- is an advantage.
