Electrical Engineer Officer

About the Role

• PT Marcopolo Shipyard is seeking a knowledgeable and analytical
• Electrical Engineer

to join our team in Batam. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing, designing, and maintaining complex marine electrical systems on vessels, ensuring all engineering works comply with Classification Society rules and shipyard safety standards.

What you'll be doing (Responsibilities)

Manage and oversee marine electrical systems, including power distribution, switchboards, navigation, communication systems, and Kongsberg Marine Systems.

• Create, review, and modify engineering drawings and technical layouts using AutoCAD.
• Ensure electrical installations and designs comply with Classification Society Rules.
• Collaborate with Production, Project Management, and Quality Control teams to troubleshoot electrical issues.
• Prepare technical reports, progress documentation, and data analysis using Microsoft Office.

What we're looking for (Qualifications)

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Naval Architecture.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in shipyard or marine industry.

Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in marine electrical systems, including power distribution, switchboards, navigation, communication systems, and Kongsberg Marine Systems.

• Familiar with Classification Society Rules, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office.
• Good command of English (written and spoken).
• Strong analytical skills, able to work under pressure, and a good team player.
