As Financial Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities related to shipyard operations, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and providing strategic financial insights to senior management. This role is pivotal to maintaining financial integrity and supporting the operational success of our shipyard business.

What you'll be doing

Oversee and manage all financial accounting functions for shipyard operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance

Prepare and present accurate financial statements, reports, and analyses in accordance with Indonesian accounting standards and international best practices

• Develop and monitor financial budgets and forecasts for shipyard operations, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting regulations, tax requirements, and internal control policies
• Manage cost allocation and project accounting for shipyard contracts and construction projects
• Conduct regular financial audits and reconciliations to maintain accuracy and integrity of financial records
• Collaborate with operational teams to analyse costs, improve financial performance, and support decision-making processes
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff, ensuring professional development and adherence to accounting standards
• Liaise with external auditors and regulatory authorities regarding financial matters and compliance issues
• Implement and maintain effective internal controls and accounting systems
• What we're looking for
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline in Shipyard operation
• Professional accounting qualification such as CA (Chartered Accountant), CPA (Certified Public Accountant), or equivalent qualification
• Minimum 8 years of experience in financial accounting and reporting, with at least 5 years in a controller or senior accounting role
• Proven experience in manufacturing, shipbuilding, or heavy industrial operations is highly desirable
• Strong knowledge of Indonesian accounting standards (SAK), tax regulations, and reporting requirements
• Proficiency in financial management systems and accounting software; experience with ERP systems is advantageous
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to analyse complex financial data and create detailed reports
• Excellent understanding of internal controls, risk management, and audit procedures
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Demonstrated leadership capability and experience managing accounting teams
• Fluency in English and Indonesian is essential
