HEAD OF SALES

About the role

We are seeking a Head of Sales to join our company in Jakarta on a full-time basis. This is a strategic leadership position responsible for driving new business development and expanding our sales operations across the chemical / raw materials / pharmaceutical sector. As Head of Sales, you will lead our sales team, establish and execute growth strategies, and play a pivotal role in achieving the company's commercial objectives. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the company's market presence and revenue growth.

• Key responsibilities
• Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to drive new business/sales achievement and market expansion.
• Lead, mentor and manage the sales team, ensuring alignment with company objectives and fostering a high-performance culture.
• Identify and evaluate new market opportunities and potential partnerships within the chemical / raw materials / pharmaceutical industry.
• Establish and maintain relationships with key customers, distributors and principals.
• Set aggressive sales targets and monitor performance metrics to ensure team accountability.
• Conduct market analysis and competitive research to inform strategic decision-making.
• Oversee the development of sales proposals, presentations and marketing materials.
• Collaborate with cross-functional departments including marketing, operations and finance to support sales initiatives.
• Report regularly on sales performance, pipeline status and market developments to senior management.
• Negotiate contracts and terms with major customers / principals to increase revenue and profitability.
• About you

10+ years of experience in sales leadership, head of sales, general manager, national sales manager with a proven track record in sales & new business development.

Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Pharmacy, Chemical Engineer, Food Tech, Marketing, MBA or other major.

Demonstrated success in the chemical / raw materials or pharmaceutical industry, with strong knowledge of market dynamics and regulatory requirements.

• Proven ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies that drive revenue growth.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience building and scaling high-performing sales teams.
• Excellent negotiation and relationship-building capabilities with stakeholders at all levels.
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills in English language proficiency is advantageous.
• Strong Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and technical skills.
• Results-oriented mindset with the ability to meet and exceed sales targets consistently.
• Willingness to travel domestically as required for client meetings and market development activities.
