Implement and maintain the company's HSE Management System in line with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and local OHS regulations (e.g., SMK3 / PP No. 50/2012, UU No. 1/1970).
Develop, review, and update safety procedures, SOPs, JSAs, and work instructions specific to battery production processes (electrode coating, cell assembly, formation, dry room, electrolyte filling).
Risk Assessment & Process Safety
Lead Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA/HIRADC) for all process areas, with particular focus on lithium battery-specific hazards.
Oversee chemical safety for hazardous materials (electrolytes, solvents such as NMP, lithium compounds, cobalt/nickel powders); maintain the chemical register and SDS system.
Lead incident, accident, and near-miss investigations using root-cause analysis (e.g., 5-Why, fishbone); develop and verify corrective and preventive actions.
Oversee hazardous and non-hazardous waste management, including handling, storage, manifesting, and licensed disposal of battery-related waste.
Monitor environmental aspects and impacts — wastewater, air emissions, solvent recovery, and effluent — and ensure regulatory limits are met.
Recognized HSE certification — e.g., Ahli K3 Umum (AK3U), NEBOSH IGC, or equivalent. Specialist certifications (fire, chemical, environmental, first aid) are an advantage.
Working knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001; internal auditor certification preferred.
