The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced High Voltage (HV) Operation Manager to lead the operation, maintenance, and reliability of the high-voltage electrical infrastructure supporting our mission critical data center campuses in Indonesia. This is a leadership role that combines deep technical expertise with operational excellence and people management. As the technical leader for the high-voltage power infrastructure, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and continuous operation of all HV electrical systems while driving operational readiness, electrical safety, risk management, and continuous improvement. Your leadership will directly contribute to maintaining the high availability standards expected by hyperscale and enterprise customers.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Cluster Operations Manager, the High Voltage (HV) Operation Manager serves as the operational leader for all high-voltage electrical infrastructure within the assigned campus. The role is responsible for overseeing the safe operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, and optimization of mission-critical electrical systems, including:

• High-voltage utility incoming systems (150KVor applicable voltage levels)
• High-voltage substations and power distribution systems
• Power transformers
• Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) and Air Insulated Switchgear (AIS)
• Medium-voltage and low-voltage distribution systems
• Protection relays, protection coordination, and electrical monitoring systems
• Electrical Power Monitoring System (EPMS)
• Generator synchronization and utility interface
• High-voltage switching operations and Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO)
• Critical electrical assets supporting UPS systems and downstream power distribution

The HV Operation Manager provides technical leadership during planned maintenance, switching activities, electrical incidents, emergency response, and power restoration activities, ensuring service continuity while minimizing operational risk. The role also works closely with Construction, Commissioning, Engineering, Facility Operations, and utility providers to support infrastructure upgrades, capacity expansion, and operational readiness of new facilities.

Leadership Responsibilities

The High Voltage Operation Manager plays a critical role in building and developing a high performing High Voltage Operations team. This includes recruiting, coaching, mentoring, authorizing, and developing HV engineers and technicians to achieve world-class operational standards.

Key leadership responsibilities include

• Building a strong electrical safety culture across all HV operations.
• Developing team capability through structured technical training, HV authorization, and competency development.
• Implementing global electrical operations standards, switching procedures, and engineering best practices.
• Driving operational discipline through preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, incident management, and root cause analysis.
• Managing operational KPIs, electrical system reliability, power availability, and maintenance performance.
• Ensuring accurate documentation, switching procedures, standard operating procedures (SOPs), maintenance records, and change management processes are maintained.
• Managing relationships with utility providers, OEMs, electrical contractors, and service vendors.
• Promoting continuous improvement, operational efficiency, asset reliability, and engineering excellence across the campus.
• Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or another relevant engineering discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience operating and maintaining high-voltage electrical infrastructure in data centers or other mission-critical facilities, such as:
• Data Centers
• Power Plants
• Oil & Gas
• Mining
• Semiconductor Manufacturing
• Hospitals
• Aviation
• Public Utilities
• Other critical infrastructure environments
• Minimum 5 years of experience leading people, with responsibility for managing engineers and technicians.
• Demonstrated experience operating high-voltage substations, transformers, switchgear, protection systems, and utility interfaces in a 24×7 operational environment.
• Strong understanding of high-voltage switching procedures, electrical safety, Permit-to Work (PTW), and Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO).
• Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills with the ability to perform effectively during electrical emergencies.
• Preferred Qualifications
• Strong technical knowledge of high-voltage electrical systems, including substations, transformers, GIS/AIS switchgear, protection relays, generators, and EPMS.
• Experience operating hyperscale or enterprise data centers.
• Experience performing HV switching operations and managing electrical isolation procedures.
• Strong understanding of electrical protection coordination, relay testing, power quality analysis, and reliability engineering.
• Experience leading electrical incident investigations, root cause analysis, and operational recovery.
• Knowledge of data center electrical design, redundancy concepts (N+1, 2N, Concurrent Maintainability), and mission-critical operations.
• Familiarity with international electrical standards such as IEC, IEEE, NFPA 70E, and local electrical regulations.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build, inspire, and develop high-performing engineering teams.
