About the role
- We are seeking an experienced
- HR Personnel Manager (HR Operations)
to join Asia Pulp and Paper in Karawang, Jawa Barat. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in supporting the efficient functioning of our human resources operations across the organisation. As HR Personnel Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day HR activities, ensuring compliance with employment regulations, and supporting the delivery of strategic HR initiatives.
Key responsibilities
Managing and overseeing all HR operational activities, including employee record maintenance, outsourcing management, and expatriate management
- Processing payroll-related documentation and liaising with finance teams to ensure accurate and timely salary administration
- Managing employee benefits programmes, including health insurance, pension schemes, and other employee welfare initiatives
- Maintaining and updating HR information systems and databases to ensure data accuracy and confidentiality
- Managing expatriate employee administration and work permit
- Providing HR guidance and support to line managers on employment matters and organisational policies
- Ensuring compliance with local employment regulations, tax requirements, and HR best practices
- Handling employee inquiries and resolving HR-related matters promptly and professionally
- What we're looking for
- Minimum 15 years of experience in HR operations, HR administration, or a similar HR-focused role
- Strong knowledge of Indonesian labour laws, expatriate work permit regulations, and compliance requirements
- Proficiency in HR information systems and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail, particularly when handling sensitive employee information and maintaining confidentiality
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with employees at all levels
- Problem-solving mindset with the capability to handle complex HR issues with professionalism and discretion
- Familiarity with manufacturing or large-scale industrial operations is highly desirable
- Understanding of employee relations best practices and conflict resolution techniques
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- Certification in HR management or equivalent professional qualification is advantageous
