Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and evaluate HSE policies, strategies, and management systems in accordance with applicable Indonesian mining regulations, company standards, and industry best practices.
Lead and supervise all Health, Safety, and Environment activities across mining operations to ensure regulatory compliance and operational safety.
Ensure compliance with mining safety regulations, including SMKP Minerba, occupational health standards, environmental permits, and applicable environmental management requirements.
Identify operational hazards, assess risks, and establish effective control measures to prevent workplace accidents, occupational illnesses, and environmental incidents.
Oversee environmental management programs, including waste management, water quality monitoring, pollution control, land rehabilitation, and reclamation activities.
Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, corrective actions, emergency preparedness, and crisis management.
Monitor HSE performance through inspections, audits, risk assessments, and key performance indicators, and provide regular reports to management.
Develop and implement HSE training, safety campaigns, and employee competency programs to strengthen safety awareness and environmental responsibility.
Coordinate with government authorities, including relevant mining and environmental agencies, and manage HSE reporting, inspections, and regulatory requirements.
Lead, develop, and evaluate the HSE team while collaborating with Mining Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, HR, and contractors to promote a proactive safety culture.
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Engineering, Mining Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 8 years of experience in HSE within the mining industry, preferably in coal mining, with at least 3 years in a managerial or departmental leadership role.
Strong knowledge of Indonesian mining safety regulations, SMKP Minerba, occupational health and safety management systems, and environmental compliance requirements.
Proven experience in managing HSE programs at mining sites, including contractor safety, incident investigations, risk management, emergency response, and environmental monitoring.
Experience managing environmental permits, regulatory reporting, waste management, water quality, and mine reclamation programs.
Hold relevant HSE and mining safety certifications, such as Ahli K3 Umum, ISMKP, AuditorSMKP and applicable POP/POM qualifications, as required by the position and applicable regulations.
Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Demonstrated ability to drive HSE performance improvement, manage cross-functional teams, and ensure consistent implementation of safety standards.
Willing to be based at the coal mining site in West Kutai, East Kalimantan (Roster 8:2).
