Information System Lecturer

Responsibilities

• Execute the duties of the Tridharma.
• Champion the accreditation process.
• Teach Information Systems courses with a specific focus on Data Engineering and Data Science.
• Develop and deliver curriculum for Information Systems subjects.
• Provide faith-based mentoring and academic guidance to students.
• Participate in academic and administrative activities.
• Serve as an advisor for the campus Information System.
• Collaborate on projects, primarily at the international level.
• Conduct research and publish in reputable journals.

Minimum Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Information System, Data Science, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or related fields.
• Demonstrated ability to teach and communicate effectively in English, as the medium of instruction at JIU is 100% English.
• Knowledge of or prior experience with academic accreditation processes.
• Strong knowledge or practical experience in Data Engineering and Data Science.
• Strong knowledge or practical experience in Cloud (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure)
• Experience in working in a diverse, multicultural environment.
• Proficiency in using Google Workspace and/or other productivity tools.
• Proficiency in Python and Java programming.
• Proficiency in Tensorflow and Keras.

Preferred qualifications

• Professional-level Cloud Certification (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, or others).
• Ph.D. degree in Information Systems, Data Science, Computer Science, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, or related fields.
• Experience in working as a Head of Department (KaProdi/Kepala Program Studi) or Dean.

Experience and proficiency in any of the fields below

• Data Pipeline products (Beam, Spark, HDFS, Airflow, Kafka, etc.).
• Distributed systems and Kubernetes (Docker, GKE, Knative, Istio, etc.).
• ERP systems (SAP).
• Optimization theory (Linear Programming, Mix-integer Programming).
• Cloud Architecture and/or Data Pipelining.
• Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence.
