Instrument & Control Engineer
Location
South Jakarta (with site assignments as required)
About the Company
Our client is a leading Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning (EPCC) company delivering integrated engineering solutions across various industrial sectors in Indonesia.
Job Responsibilities
As an Instrument & Control Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful installation, testing, configuration, commissioning, and maintenance of instrumentation and control systems throughout project execution.
Your responsibilities include
- Perform installation, inspection, testing, and calibration of instrumentation & control systems.
- Execute loop checking, continuity tests, functional tests, and instrument calibration.
- Configure PLC, DCS, HMI, and other control systems.
- Support pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up, and Site Acceptance Test (SAT) activities.
- Troubleshoot instrumentation and control system issues and perform root cause analysis.
- Review engineering documents including wiring diagrams, loop diagrams, hook-up drawings, and control philosophy.
- Prepare commissioning reports, calibration reports, technical documentation, and as-built documents.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Project Execution, Commissioning teams, clients, and vendors.
- Ensure all activities comply with company standards, international standards, and QHSSE requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Control Engineering, Engineering Physics, or a related discipline.
- Minimum
- 5 years of experience
- in Instrumentation & Control, Automation, System Integration, or Commissioning.
- Experience within
- EPCC, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Power Plant, Renewable Energy
- , or related industries.
Hands-on experience with
PLC / DCS / HMI
- Instrument calibration
- Loop checking & functional testing
- Commissioning & troubleshooting
- Able to read engineering drawings such as P&ID, wiring diagrams, loop diagrams, and hook-up drawings.
- Good understanding of international engineering standards and safety practices.
- Good communication skills in both Bahasa Indonesia and English.
- Site experience is an advantage.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Instrumentation Technician or Instrument Calibration Training.
- PLC/DCS Programming & Configuration Training.
- CompEx or Hazardous Area Certification.
- Vendor certifications (Siemens, Yokogawa, Emerson, Honeywell, ABB, Schneider, Rockwell, etc.).
- QHSSE / K3 Certification.
