About the Role
The Inventory Control Warehouse is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, monitoring stock movement, and ensuring effective inventory control across warehouse operations. This role works closely with Warehouse, Operations, Purchasing, PPIC, Finance, and other related teams to ensure stock accuracy, availability, and proper documentation.
- Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain inventory accuracy across all warehouse locations and storage areas.
- Record and verify all incoming, outgoing, transfer, and adjustment transactions in the inventory system.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical stock counts, and investigate inventory discrepancies.
- Monitor stock levels, stock movements, and inventory aging to minimize overstock, stockouts, and obsolete inventory.
- Ensure proper inventory allocation, storage, labeling, and product identification in accordance with warehouse procedures.
- Reconcile physical stock with system records and prepare inventory discrepancy reports.
- Monitor product expiry dates and implement proper FIFO/FEFO practices, particularly for food products.
- Coordinate with Warehouse and Operations teams to ensure timely and accurate stock transactions.
- Support stock opname, internal audits, external audits, and inventory reconciliation processes.
- Maintain accurate and complete inventory documentation and records.
- Prepare regular inventory reports and provide relevant stock data to management and related departments.
- Identify inventory control issues and recommend improvements to warehouse processes and stock accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with company SOPs, food safety requirements, warehouse standards, and inventory control procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience in inventory control, warehouse, logistics, or supply chain operations.
- Experience in FMCG, food manufacturing, or consumer goods industry is preferred.
- Strong understanding of inventory management, stock reconciliation, cycle counting, FIFO/FEFO, and warehouse processes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets; experience with ERP / Accurate Software / Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is preferred.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with high attention to detail.
- Good problem-solving and communication skills.
- Able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Willing to work in a fast-paced operational environment and conduct regular physical stock checks.
