Job Description
1. Day to day activities
Monitor Performance Metrics
- Regularly check metrics such as CPU usage, memory usage, disk I/O, and network traffic, active connection using Amazon CloudWatch.
- Monitor resource usage and scale up or down as needed, configure reader auto-scaling to handle changes in workload.
- Ensure that your instances have enough compute resources and proper configurations to meet demand.
2.Backup & Security Management
- Ensure that automated backups and security patches are configured and functioning correctly.
- Periodically test the restoration process to verify that backups are reliable.
3.Database Maintenance
Apply any pending database engine patches and updates during scheduled maintenance windows.
4.Application Implementation
Helping Developer to perform DDL or DML operations in PRD environment.
5.Cost Management
- Review your usage and costs regularly to identify opportunities for optimization.
- Job Requirement
- 3+ years experience as DB Engineer/Administrator manage AWS RDS Aurora, RDS Proxy, AWS DocumentDB, AWS DynamoDB, AWS OpenSearch and AWS Elasicache
- Experience to perform DB Optimization, such as Index optimization, query optimization, configuration tuning to improve performance
- Have good understanding about limitation, constraint, best practices of each DB engine above
- 4.Experience to create scripting and automation using AWS CLI, Bash or Powershell. And Familiar using AWS SSM Document
- 5.Strong analytical thinking, problem solving and fast learning, able to identify and resolve complex technical issues
- 6.Strong collaboration in a team, capable to work individually
- 7.Lead improvement and optimization initiatives that align with Sampoerna/PMI Standard
- 8.Positive attitude and strong commitment to deliver quality work
