About the role
- We are seeking a skilled
- Korean Translator
to join PT Cammsys Electronics Indonesia on a contract basis. This role is pivotal in facilitating seamless communication between our Korean-speaking stakeholders and our operations team. Based in Cikarang Utara, Jawa Barat, you will serve as a critical bridge in our multilingual workplace, ensuring accurate and culturally sensitive translation of documents, communications, and technical materials. This position is essential to maintaining effective collaboration across our international operations and supporting the smooth functioning of our business activities.
Key responsibilities
Translate written documents, emails, and correspondence from Korean to Indonesian and English, and vice versa, with accuracy and attention to detail
- Provide real-time interpretation during meetings, negotiations, and business discussions involving Korean-speaking personnel
- Translate technical documentation, operational manuals, and specifications related to electronics manufacturing and assembly processes
- Ensure cultural appropriateness and contextual accuracy in all translated materials to facilitate effective communication
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive business information and proprietary materials
- Assist in onboarding and training of Korean staff members by providing translation and interpretation support
- Collaborate with various departments to understand terminology and technical requirements specific to electronics manufacturing
- Proofread and review translations for grammar, consistency, and adherence to company standards
- What we're looking for
- Fluency in Korean and Indonesian, with professional proficiency in English (written and spoken)
- Proven experience as a translator or interpreter, preferably in a manufacturing, technical, or industrial environment
- Strong understanding of Korean and Indonesian cultural nuances to ensure culturally appropriate translations
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to maintain accuracy in fast-paced environments
- Certification or qualification in translation or interpretation (preferred)
- Experience with technical or specialised terminology in electronics, manufacturing, or related fields (advantageous)
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple translation tasks simultaneously
- Professional communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Familiarity with translation software or computer-aided translation tools (preferred)
