About the role

Logistics Procurement Staff source and identify trucking companies, freight forwarders, shipping lines, depots, and other logistics service providers. The role involves requesting, comparing, and negotiating quotations for trucking, container handling, ocean freight, and related logistics services, and preparing rate comparisons and procurement recommendations based on cost, service quality, capacity, transit time, and reliability.

• Key responsibilities
• Source and identify trucking companies, freight forwarders, shipping lines, depots, and other logistics service providers.
• Request, compare, and negotiate quotations for trucking, container handling, ocean freight, and related logistics services.
• Prepare rate comparisons and procurement recommendations based on cost, service quality, capacity, transit time, and reliability.

Coordinate with the Operations team to understand shipment requirements, delivery schedules, routes, equipment needs, and service priorities.

• Issue purchase orders or service confirmations and ensure vendors receive accurate job instructions.
• Maintain an updated database of approved vendors, service rates, contracts, and supporting documents.
• Monitor vendor performance, including pricing, availability, on-time service, documentation accuracy, and responsiveness.
• Resolve rate discrepancies, service issues, and invoice queries in coordination with Operations and Finance.
• Support vendor onboarding and verify that required company, licensing, insurance, and compliance documents are valid.
• Identify opportunities to improve procurement processes, reduce costs, and secure reliable logistics capacity.
• About you

Diploma or bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may also be considered.

• Previous experience in logistics procurement, vendor coordination, purchasing, freight forwarding, or trucking operations.
• Good negotiation, communication, coordination, and follow-up skills.
• Ability to compare quotations and work accurately with rates, costs, and supporting documents.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Strong attention to detail, integrity, and time-management skills.
• Able to communicate professionally in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
• Experience with container trucking, freight forwarding, port or depot operations, or shipping-line procurement (preferred).
• Existing knowledge of local trucking routes, vendors, market rates, and operating requirements (preferred).
• Experience reviewing vendor contracts, service-level terms, and procurement documentation (preferred).
