About the role

• We are seeking an experienced
• Manager Finance Accounting & Tax (FAT)
• to join our finance team in Semarang, Central Java on a
• full-time basis

. This is a strategic position that plays a critical role in ensuring the financial health and regulatory compliance of PT Metasia Engineering Indonesia. Reporting to senior finance leadership, you will oversee all aspects of financial accounting and tax management, directly contributing to informed decision-making across the organisation. This role requires both technical expertise and strong leadership capabilities to manage a growing accounting function whilst maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and compliance.

What you'll be doing

Manage and oversee all financial accounting processes, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger reconciliation, and month-end/year-end close procedures

• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards and regulations
• Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures and internal controls to ensure operational efficiency and compliance
• Lead tax compliance activities, including tax planning, preparation of tax returns, and liaison with tax authorities
• Monitor and manage tax obligations to optimise the company's tax position whilst ensuring full compliance with Indonesian tax regulations
• Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic business decision-making and budgeting processes
• Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, fostering professional development and maintaining team performance standards
• Conduct periodic audits and reviews to ensure accuracy of financial records and adherence to company policies
• Coordinate with external auditors and other stakeholders on audit-related matters
• Maintain accurate documentation and records in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost optimisation within the accounting function
• What we're looking for
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional qualification such as CPA, CA, or equivalent is highly desirable
• Minimum 7-10 years of experience in financial accounting and tax management, with at least 3 years in a management or supervisory role
• Strong knowledge of Indonesian accounting standards, tax regulations, and compliance requirements

Proficiency in accounting software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems; experience with automated accounting systems is advantageous

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial management tools
• Demonstrated expertise in preparing financial statements, tax returns, and regulatory filings
• Excellent understanding of audit procedures and internal controls frameworks
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify financial trends and provide strategic recommendations
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in Indonesian and English
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Leadership capabilities with experience in building and developing high-performing accounting teams
• Strong commitment to accuracy, integrity, and adherence to ethical standards
