ABOUT THE ROLE
- As an
- Operation Staff
- , you will be responsible for ensuring that every shipment is executed
- safely, efficiently, on time, and according to customer requirements.
You will coordinate with
- Customer → Sales → Operation → Vendor → Driver → Trucking → LCT/Barge → Port/PBM → Management
- You are expected to take ownership from
- planning until the shipment is completed.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operation Planning & Execution
- Plan and coordinate transportation activities from pickup to delivery.
- Review Job Order, cargo details, route, equipment requirements and operational risks.
- Coordinate trucking, LCT, barge and other transportation requirements.
- Ensure the right vehicle/equipment is available at the right time and location.
- Monitor shipment progress and provide timely updates.
- Ensure operational documentation and POD are completed properly.
- Vendor & Network Management
- Develop and maintain relationships with trucking, LCT, barge and logistics vendors.
- Source alternative vendors when operational requirements change.
- Negotiate and coordinate with vendors to achieve the best operational solution.
- Ensure vendors understand and comply with TDB's operational and HSE requirements.
- Monitor and evaluate vendor performance.
- Having an active network of trucking, LCT, barge, heavy equipment and logistics vendors is a strong advantage.
- Field Supervision
- You must be willing to go to the field.
You will be expected to
- Supervise loading and unloading activities.
- Check vehicle/equipment readiness.
- Check cargo condition and securing.
- Monitor driver and vendor compliance.
- Ensure operational instructions are properly executed.
- Identify potential safety and operational risks.
- Take proper operational documentation and photos.
- Act quickly when something does not go according to plan.
HSE IS PART OF YOUR JOB
- You don't have to be an HSE Officer.
- But you
- must understand HSE.
You should have practical knowledge of
- Basic HSE requirements.
- Risk assessment / JSA awareness.
- Safe loading and unloading.
- Cargo securing.
- PPE requirements.
- Vehicle and equipment safety.
- Driver safety.
- Incident and near-miss reporting.
- Emergency response awareness.
- Dangerous Goods awareness is an advantage.
Most importantly
- You must be able to recognize unsafe conditions and take appropriate action.
- Safety is not something we discuss after an incident.

- Understand basic English operational correspondence and documents.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Minimum Requirements
- Preferably
- young, energetic and highly mobile
- Minimum D3/S1 or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum
- 2 years of relevant experience
- in logistics, freight forwarding, trucking, shipping, project logistics, mining, oil & gas, or related industries.
- Strong understanding of logistics and transportation operations.
- Good practical understanding of HSE.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Able to communicate professionally in
- English, particularly email
- Good Microsoft Office / Excel skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Detail-oriented and disciplined in follow-up.
- Able to handle multiple operations simultaneously.
- Willing to work in the field and supervise operations directly.
- Willing to work beyond normal office hours when operational conditions require it.
- Proactive, responsible and willing to learn.
