• PT Pawa Indonesia Engineering is seeking a
• Project Engineer - Electrical Data Center

to join our dynamic engineering team. This is a full-time position based in South Cikarang, West Java, where you will play a crucial role in the design, implementation, and management of electrical systems for data centre projects. You will be responsible for ensuring that all electrical infrastructure meets international standards, regulatory requirements, and project specifications. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex, mission-critical installations that require precision, technical expertise, and collaborative problem-solving.

Key responsibilities

Design and develop electrical systems and schematics for data centre infrastructure, including power distribution, backup systems, and cooling solutions

Conduct feasibility studies and technical assessments for electrical installations in data centre environments

Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical equipment, including transformers, generators, UPS systems, Grounding / Earthing, Bonding & Lightning Protection and distribution panels

• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources whilst ensuring adherence to safety standards and regulatory compliance
• Collaborate with architects, mechanical engineers, and IT professionals to integrate electrical systems with overall data centre design
• Perform quality assurance inspections and troubleshoot electrical issues to ensure optimal system performance
• Prepare technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and as-built reports
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities to ensure smooth project execution
• Identify and implement cost-effective solutions whilst maintaining system reliability and redundancy standards
• What we're looking for
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline

Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience in electrical engineering, with specific experience in data centre design or infrastructure projects

• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, backup power solutions, and safety standards relevant to data centres
• Proficiency with electrical design software and CAD tools
• Understanding of data centre cooling systems and their integration with electrical infrastructure
• Familiarity with relevant Indonesian electrical codes and international standards (such as IEC, IEEE, or NFPA)
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and manage timelines effectively
• Strong communication skills in both Indonesian and English
• Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Willingness to travel to project sites as required
