About the role
- PT Elang Mulia Abadi Sempurna is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented
- Purchasing Staff
- to join our procurement team. This is a
- full-time position
- based in
- West Bandung, West Java
. The Purchasing Staff will play a vital role in our supply chain operations, supporting the procurement function to ensure timely acquisition of materials and services at competitive prices. This position is essential to maintaining our operational efficiency and supporting the company's growth objectives within the manufacturing, transport and logistics sector.
- What you'll be doing
- Processing purchase requisitions and raising purchase orders in accordance with company procedures and budget requirements
- Sourcing and identifying suitable suppliers whilst maintaining relationships with existing vendor networks
- Obtaining and comparing quotations from multiple suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and value for money
- Liaising with suppliers to negotiate delivery schedules, terms and conditions
- Monitoring supplier performance and maintaining records of quality standards, on-time delivery and pricing
- Tracking purchase orders and ensuring materials are received in accordance with specifications and delivery dates
- Maintaining accurate inventory records and providing reports on procurement activities
- Assisting in the resolution of discrepancies between purchase orders, invoices and delivery documentation
- Supporting the preparation of procurement-related documentation and reports as required
- Communicating with internal departments regarding order status and material availability
- What we're looking for
- A diploma or bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, procurement or a related field
- 1-2 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably within manufacturing or logistics environments
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management and inventory control
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, and experience with procurement or inventory management software
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong communication and negotiation skills in both Indonesian and English
- Keen attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and documentation
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying cost-saving opportunities
- Knowledge of quality assurance standards and procurement compliance requirements is desirable
