QA ENGINEER (with Agile Coordination) – Remote (Indonesia)

About the role

We are looking for a hands-on QA Engineer based in Indonesia to own the quality assurance, testing, and delivery tracking of our upcoming ride-hailing application. Your primary focus will be comprehensive end-to-end testing of our backend APIs and dual mobile apps (Rider & Driver). As a core part of this role, you will also utilize your Agile/Scrum experience to help facilitate daily standups and sprint alignment to ensure our development timeline stays on track.

• Key responsibilities
• Execute functional, regression, integration, and UI testing across the backend APIs, Rider mobile app, and Driver mobile app

Validate high-frequency GPS tracking, geospatial driver matching accuracy, and push notification reliability under simulated real-world conditions

Verify payment gateway loops (Stripe/PayNow, Xendit SG) and mapping behaviors to ensure smooth transaction flows and correct fare calculations

Facilitate daily stand-ups and sprint planning sessions to help keep the developer team aligned, remove progress bottlenecks, and track testing milestones

• Document bugs clearly with technical steps to reproduce, prioritize them based on project milestones, and track them through resolution
• About you

2 to 4 years of strong, hands-on experience in software quality assurance, with a deep understanding of QA methodologies and test case design

Proven experience testing mobile applications (iOS/Android) and testing RESTful APIs using tools like Postman

Ability to test mobile apps against edge cases specific to ride-hailing, such as poor network connectivity (offline simulation) and background location tracking behavior

Practical experience working within Scrum/Agile development environments and familiarity with managing sprint tasks using tools like Jira, Trello, or ClickUp

• Prior experience working on ride-hailing, food delivery, or map-heavy logistics platforms
• Familiarity with automated testing tools for mobile or backend services
• Basic understanding of data compliance (PDPA) to help verify that user PII data is masked correctly during testing cycles
