Quality Assurance Engineer

Job Description

• Design test scenarios and test cases for new features (functional, regression, and edge cases) based on BRD/FRD.
• Perform functional testing of REST APIs using Postman or similar tools for transaction, settlement, and disbursement flows.
• Conduct provider integration testing, including callback handling, status checks, retry/timeout scenarios, and intermittent errors.
• Perform reconciliation testing to ensure transaction data consistency between internal systems and providers.
• Write and maintain clear and reproducible test cases, test reports, and bug reports for the development team.
• Execute regression testing for every sprint release, retest bugs, and collaborate with BE/FE/PM to ensure acceptance criteria are testable.

Requirements

1–3 years of experience as a QA Engineer or Software Tester, preferably in transactional or financial systems (payment, banking, or e-commerce).

Familiar with API testing using Postman or similar tools, including understanding of request/response structures, status codes, headers, and authentication.

Able to read and write basic to intermediate SQL queries (JOIN, FILTER, AGGREGATE) for data verification.

Understand STLC (test planning, design, execution, and reporting) and the bug lifecycle, and be experienced in writing structured test cases and test scenarios.

Familiar with defect tracking and project management tools such as ClickUp, Jira, or similar.

Detail-oriented, systematic, and communicative in writing reproducible bug reports; proactive in clarifying requirements and comfortable working in a sprint environment with tight release timelines.
