Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture.
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, including 3 - 5 years in a QS Manager role.
- Proven experience in building construction, civil works, fit-out, and interior projects.

Key Responisibilities
- Tender & Cost Estimation.
- Lead the preparation of Bills of Quantities (BOQ).
- Prepare project cost estimates and budgets.
- Conduct unit rate analysis for construction works.
- Calculate work quantities based on construction drawings.
- Perform value engineering to improve cost efficiency.
- Establish project cost targets prior to project execution.
- Cost Control.
- Develop project budgets.
- Monitor actual project costs against the approved budget.
- Analyze cost variances and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare project cash flow forecasts.
- Provide recommendations to improve cost efficiency.
- Contract Administration.
- Review contract documents with clients and subcontractors.
- Manage Variation Orders (VO).
- Prepare claim documentation.
- Administer contract amendments and addenda.
- Ensure all contract documentation is properly maintained.
- Procurement Support.
- Coordinate with the Engineering team to define material specifications.
- Evaluate and compare vendor quotations.
- Recommend suitable suppliers and subcontractors.
- Ensure procurement costs are aligned with the approved budget.
- Progress Payment.
- Prepare progress claims for clients.
- Verify site work progress before payment applications.
- Monitor subcontractor payment processes.
- Ensure all invoices and claims are based on actual work progress.
- Project Monitoring.
- Monitor project cost reports.
- Identify potential cost overruns.
- Prepare project profitability reports.
- Recommend corrective actions to prevent budget overruns.
- Leadership.
- Lead and supervise the Quantity Surveying team.
- Assign tasks to Estimators and QS Engineers.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance evaluations.
- Develop and implement QS Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Authority
- Approve quantity take-off results.
- Recommed vendors and subcontractors.
- Approve project cost estimates (RAB) before submission to Management.
- Request design revisions that impact project costs.
- Suspend procurement activities that exceed the approved project budget.
