• Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Java-based backend development. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working on scalable backend systems, taking ownership of features from implementation through testing and production deployment, while maintaining high standards of code quality.

• Key Responsibilities
• Develop reliable, maintainable backend services and deliver production-ready code.
• Enhance existing systems and implement new features based on project requirements.
• Take ownership of the full development lifecycle, including unit testing, integration testing, and production deployment.
• Review code and contribute to maintaining development standards and overall code quality.
• Work with the engineering team to improve system performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Required Technical Skills
• Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Solid knowledge of Data Structures & Algorithms.
• Strong experience working with both SQL and NoSQL databases, preferably MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
• Practical experience designing and integrating RESTful APIs and Microservices.
• Working knowledge of Redis and Kafka.

Experience building or maintaining high-performance, low-latency systems, particularly those involving large-scale data processing and real-time transactions.

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is preferred.
• Familiarity with Cloud Infrastructure is an advantage.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
• Domain Experience – Preferred
• Background in Financial Services, Banking, Payment, or FinTech environments is a plus.
• Understanding of relevant security and compliance practices within financial or payment-related systems is preferred.
