About the role
- We are seeking an experienced
- Senior Furniture Designer
- to join PT. Idelux Furniture Indonesia on a
- contract basis
- . This is a strategic position within our design and architecture division, based in
- Semarang, Central Java
. As Senior Furniture Designer, you will lead the creative vision for our furniture collections, driving innovation whilst maintaining the highest standards of industrial design. This role is integral to our product development strategy and will have a direct impact on our market position and brand reputation.

Responsibilities
- Leading the conceptualisation and design development of furniture collections
- Creating detailed design specifications, technical drawings and 3D models using industry-standard design software
- Collaborating with marketing, product engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure designs are both innovative and commercially viable
- Ensuring all designs adhere to ergonomic principles, sustainability standards and production feasibility
- Managing multiple design projects simultaneously whilst maintaining strict adherence to timelines and budget constraints
- Presenting design concepts and prototypes to stakeholders, incorporating feedback and refining designs accordingly
Qualifications
- Minimum 8+ years of professional experience in furniture design or industrial design within a manufacturing environment
- Proven expertise in designing furniture collections, commercials
- Advanced proficiency in design software including CAD, 3D modelling tools (such as SolidWorks)
- Strong understanding of ergonomics, materials science, manufacturing processes and production constraints
- Demonstrated ability to balance aesthetic innovation with practical functionality and cost-effectiveness
- Excellent visual communication skills with a strong portfolio showcasing completed furniture design projects
- Strong project management capabilities and the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
- Excellent collaborative and communication skills with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams
- Leadership experience with the ability to mentor and inspire junior design team members
