Key Responsibilities
Develop test plans and test cases for each sprint release: based on functional specifications and user stories provided by the Delivery Manager, design test scripts covering happy-path scenarios, edge cases, negative tests, and critical integration touchpoints between client’s systems.
Execute system integration testing (SIT) across all client’s platforms: Shopify Plus (e-commerce flows, checkout, integrations), Power Pages Vendor Portal (vendor workflows, D365 sync, approval routing), D365 F&SCM (financial postings, PO/GRN flows), AWS data pipelines (Bronze, Silver, Gold data completeness and accuracy), Amazon Bedrock AI agents (query accuracy, guardrail behaviour, MCP responses), Cloud & Infrastructure changes, and Cybersecurity configuration changes.
Execute regression testing: before each production release, run the regression test suite covering previously-passed scenarios to confirm that new changes have not broken existing functionality. Maintain and update the regression test library after each release.
Manage defect lifecycle in Azure DevOps: log all defects with clear reproduction steps, severity classification, and screenshots or log evidence; assign to the relevant specialist; track to resolution; verify fixes and close confirmed defects.
Produce SIT summary reports for the Delivery Manager before each CAB submission: test coverage, pass/fail rates, open defects by severity, and a clear go/no-go recommendation for production deployment.
Coordinate UAT with Singapore business users: prepare UAT test data and scenarios, walk Singapore stakeholders through test scripts, log UAT defects, and track resolution.
Conduct POS deployment testing: validate POS configuration changes in staging/sandbox environments before Singapore IT Infrastructure & Support executes on-site; test end-to-end transaction flows, payment processing, and integration with loyalty and financial systems.
Test API integrations between client’s systems: use Postman or equivalent to validate request/response behaviour for key integration points.
Support performance and load testing for customer-facing systems (e-commerce storefront) ahead of peak trading periods: coordinate tooling, execute test runs, and report results to the Delivery Manager.
Maintain test environment hygiene: coordinate with the Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer to ensure staging environments are refreshed with appropriately masked data; confirm no production PII is used in test environments.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Minimum 4 years of software testing or QA experience, with at least 2 years in a retail, e-commerce, or enterprise application testing context.
Demonstrable experience executing SIT and regression testing across integrated multi-system environments, not just single-application testing.
Experience writing structured test cases and test scripts from functional specifications or user stories.
Experience managing defects through a full lifecycle in a defect tracking tool (Azure DevOps, Jira, or equivalent); able to write clear, reproducible defect reports.
English proficiency at B2 minimum (IELTS 6.0), written and spoken. Must be able to write clear UAT packs in plain business English for Singapore stakeholders.
Demonstrated independence and rigour: does not sign off on testing because a developer says it works; independently verifies all claims; proactively identifies integration risk areas that developers may have missed.
SQL: ability to write validation queries against client’s databases and AWS Athena Gold layer to verify data integrity after pipeline runs or system changes.
Browser-based testing: Chrome DevTools, network inspection, and console log review for e-commerce and Vendor Portal front-end defects.
Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines: sufficient to identify which build or deployment introduced a defect and communicate clearly to the Delivery Manager.
Microsoft Teams and SharePoint: defect communication, test artefact storage, and UAT coordination with Singapore business users.
