Commercial Manager

About the role

The ideal candidate is someone who is commercially driven but also has strong operational sense. You should be comfortable taking ownership, managing people, working across different functions and working closely with HQ Malaysia in a fast-moving technology business. This is a hands-on role. We are looking for someone who can drive the business locally while ensuring the Indonesia operation runs properly and compliantly. Over time, the role may expand into broader operational and compliance responsibilities if the candidate demonstrates readiness.

• Key Responsibilities
• Sales & Business Development
• Drive revenue growth and expand customer base in Indonesia.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities, partnerships, and channels.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and partners.
• Execute local sales strategies aligned with HQ direction.
• Provide market insights and feedback to HQ.
• People Management
• Lead and support Indonesia-based commercial staff.
• Set clear performance expectations and monitor results.
• Foster a collaborative and accountable team culture.
• HQ Coordination
• Work closely with HQ teams (Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance, Technology).
• Translate HQ strategy into local execution.
• Provide regular updates on sales performance and market developments.
• Future Scope (conditional)

Subject to performance, responsibilities may expand to include

• Office & Operations Management
• (day-to-day running of Indonesia office).
• Local Compliance & Jurisdiction
• (ensuring adherence to local laws and regulations).
• About you
• 3–7 years of relevant experience in sales, business development, or commercial management.
• Proven track record in driving revenue and building customer relationships.
• Strong people management skills.
• Fluent in English for regular HQ communication.
• Familiarity with Indonesia's business environment and market trends.
• Comfortable working with technology products and digital solutions.
• Proactive, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Naturally curious about technology and new trends, and willing to continuously learn.
• Able to manage multiple priorities and work with different teams across countries.
