Role Overview
We're looking for a Data Annotation Intern to support our data labeling efforts. You'll work hands-on with Roboflow to build and label datasets that power our machine learning models. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career to gain practical exposure to data annotation workflows in a real product environment. This is a paid, onsite internship, you'll be working directly with our IT teams at our office.
- Key Responsibilities
- Create and organize datasets for machine learning use cases
- Label and annotate datasets using Roboflow, following defined labeling guidelines and quality standards
- Review and validate existing annotations for accuracy and consistency
- Collaborate with the engineering and product teams to clarify requirements and edge cases
- Required Skills
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field
- Basic understanding of data annotation/labeling concepts
- Detail-oriented with strong observational skills for spotting inconsistencies or errors
- Good written communication skills for documenting guidelines and annotation notes
- Ability to follow structured guidelines and labeling standards consistently
- Able to commit to working onsite for the full duration of the internship
- Preferred Qualifications
- Prior exposure to Roboflow or similar annotation tools (e.g., Labelbox, CVAT, LabelImg)
- Basic understanding of how machine learning models use labeled data
- Prior internship or academic project experience involving data work
