- is currently looking for an experienced professional for placement with our
- client in the Tobacco & Agribusiness Industry.
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Deputy Chief Agronomist to support the Chief Agronomists in leading agricultural operations across SF & TBN tobacco crops. The role will focus on R&D leadership, crop quality & yield improvement, operational excellence, cost management, and people development.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the R&D Department for SF & TBN tobacco.
- Design, manage, and evaluate agricultural trials and innovations.
- Support crop management to achieve quality, wrapper yield, and cost targets.
- Drive continuous improvement, benchmarking, and best-practice implementation.
- Recruit, mentor, and develop agronomy talents and succession pipelines.
- Support wrapper processing, traceability, and compliance.
Requirements
- 🎓 Bachelor's Degree in Agronomy / Agriculture.
- 🌱
- Minimum 10 years
- of experience in agribusiness (tobacco, coffee, cocoa, etc.).
- 👔 Minimum
- 5 years in leadership roles.
- 🔬 Proven experience in R&D program development and implementation.
- 💰 Strong understanding of P&L and cost management.
- 🌾 Extensive crop experience, including cultivation, harvesting, and different agricultural operations.
- 🌍 Experience in international or well structured agribusiness companies is preferred.
- 🗣️ Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia & English.
