About the role

We are seeking a Guest Experience Officer (GRO) to join our team at Fork Bakery and Grill Restaurant in Kuta, Bali. This is a full-time position based on-site in Kuta, Bali, where you will be the first point of contact for our guests and play a vital role in creating memorable experiences. As a GRO, you will be responsible for welcoming guests, managing reservations, coordinating seating arrangements, and ensuring exceptional customer service throughout their visit. This role is strategically important to our restaurant, as you will directly influence guest satisfaction, loyalty, and the overall reputation of Fork Bakery and Grill.

• Key responsibilities
• Greet and welcome all guests with warmth, professionalism and genuine hospitality upon arrival
• Manage restaurant reservations and maintain accurate reservation records using our booking system
• Coordinate guest seating arrangements to optimise table management and dining flow
• Provide guests with menus and communicate current specials, promotional offerings and menu recommendations
• Answer guest enquiries regarding menu items, allergens, dietary requirements and restaurant policies
• Handle guest requests and special occasions with attentiveness and problem-solving skills
• Process payments and manage the point-of-sale system with accuracy
• Coordinate with kitchen and service staff to ensure seamless guest experiences
• Maintain a clean, welcoming and organised front-of-house environment
• Address and resolve guest complaints or concerns in a professional and empathetic manner
• Monitor guest satisfaction and provide feedback to management for continuous service improvement
• What we're looking for

Proven experience in a front-of-house or guest services role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a restaurant or similar establishment

• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage guests from diverse backgrounds
• Professional appearance and demeanour with a genuine passion for guest service excellence
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems and reservation management software
• Fluency in English; additional languages (particularly Indonesian or Mandarin) are highly advantageous
• Flexibility and willingness to work shifts including evenings, weekends and public holidays as required
• Problem-solving abilities and emotional intelligence to handle challenging situations with grace
• A positive attitude, reliability and strong work ethic
• Domicile in Bali is required for this position
