- Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage export and import strategies in compliance with Indonesian customs regulations, particularly regarding bonded zone.
- Handle import and export documentation, customs clearance, and shipping processes.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, suppliers, and government authorities.
- Ensure compliance with all import/export regulations and licensing requirements.
- Monitor shipment schedules to ensure timely delivery of materials and products.
- Manage duty, tax, and customs-related matters efficiently.
- Manage import permits and ensure all required licenses remain valid.
- Resolve customs-related issues and maintain good relationships with government authorities.
- Support production planning by ensuring timely availability of imported materials.
- Identify opportunities to improve logistics efficiency and reduce import/export costs.
- Lead and develop the Export Import team.
- Coordinate with HQ in South Korea regarding import/export planning, reporting, and regulatory compliance.
- Work closely with Purchasing, Logistics, Warehouse, Production, and Finance to ensure smooth material flow.
- Prepare periodic reports on shipment status, customs activities, logistics costs, and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, International Trade, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum
- 6 years
- of experience in Export Import, with at least
- 3 years in a managerial position
- within a manufacturing company.
- Strong understanding of Indonesian Customs regulations, INSW, HS Code classification, Bonded Zone, and import/export licensing.
- Experienced in handling customs documentation and international shipping.
- Familiar with ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
- Able to communicate effectively in English (written and spoken).
- Korean language proficiency will be an advantage.
