HR Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to join SILK RESTAURANT Canggu in Bali. This is a full-time position based on-site in Bali, offering a strategic opportunity to lead and develop our human resources function within a dynamic restaurant environment. As HR Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources management, including recruitment, employee development, performance management, and ensuring compliance with employment regulations. This role is vital to creating a positive workplace culture and supporting the operational excellence of our restaurant.

• Key responsibilities
• Develop and implement HR strategies and policies that align with the restaurant's business objectives and support operational needs
• Oversee all recruitment activities, including job profiling, candidate sourcing, interviewing, and selection of staff across all levels
• Manage employee onboarding, training programmes, and staff development initiatives to enhance skills and career progression
• Administer and maintain comprehensive employee records, contracts, and ensure compliance with local employment laws and regulations
• Handle employee relations matters, including performance management, disciplinary procedures, and conflict resolution
• Manage payroll coordination, benefits administration, and ensure accurate and timely processing of employee compensation
• Conduct exit interviews and manage the offboarding process for departing employees
• Foster a positive workplace culture that promotes teamwork, engagement, and employee satisfaction
• Monitor and analyse HR metrics, including turnover rates and recruitment timelines, to inform strategic improvements
• Liaise with management and staff to address workplace concerns and implement solutions
• What we're looking for
• Minimum 5 years of HR management experience, preferably within the hospitality or restaurant industry
• Strong knowledge of Indonesian employment law and local labour regulations
• Proven experience in full-cycle recruitment and talent management
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with staff at all levels
• Proficiency with HR management systems and Microsoft Office applications
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Knowledge of payroll administration and employment compliance
• Ability to develop and deliver training programmes and conduct performance evaluations
• A strategic mindset combined with a hands-on approach to problem-solving
• Fluency in English and Indonesian; additional languages are a plus
• Experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is highly desirable
