Lead and oversee daily production operations to ensure production targets, quality standards, manpower requirements, and delivery schedules are achieved. This role involves planning, organizing, monitoring, and controlling production activities, manpower allocation, production capacity, and workflow in a custom, make-to-order manufacturing environment focused on HVAC equipment including Coil, AHU/FCU, and Sheet Metal Fabrication.
Key responsibilities
Lead and oversee daily production operations to ensure production targets, quality standards, manpower requirements, and delivery schedules are achieved
Lead production improvement initiatives and project management activities to improve productivity, efficiency, quality, and delivery performance
Drive the implementation of 5S, K3/Occupational Health & Safety, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and Continuous Improvement across production areas
Monitor and control key production performance indicators, including output, productivity, efficiency, defect/rework rate, manpower utilization, production lead time, and on-time delivery
Coordinate closely with Engineering, PPIC, QC, Warehouse, Purchasing, and other related departments to ensure smooth production execution
Resolve production issues promptly, including design/BOM changes, material shortages, bottlenecks, quality problems, rework, manpower issues, and delivery delays
Develop, manage, and evaluate the production team, including manpower planning, performance monitoring, coaching, discipline, and capability development
Be actively involved on the production floor to monitor operations, identify problems, and ensure immediate corrective actions when required
Solid knowledge of production processes, including coil manufacturing (hairfin, expansion/expanding, brazing, testing, and assembly), sheet metal fabrication (cutting, punching, bending, forming, and assembly), and AHU/FCU fabrication and assembly
Able to read and understand engineering drawings, BOMs, specifications, and engineering/design changes
Experienced in custom, make-to-order (MTO), or project-based manufacturing, particularly in environments with high product variation and changing customer requirements
Strong experience in developing, implementing, and improving production systems
Proven ability to improve productivity, production efficiency, production flow, manpower utilization, lead time, and overall operational performance
