Position Overview

This position will be responsible to manage vessel insurance programs, claims, and related risk mitigation initiatives. The role will work closely with brokers, underwriters, surveyors, adjusters, and internal stakeholders to ensure effective insurance coverage and efficient claims management.

Responsibilities

Manage insurance policy renewals, claims handling, certificate issuance, broker and underwriter selection, and insurance program placement.

Ensure the claims handling process is managed effectively and efficiently in accordance with company policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Manage relationships with brokers, underwriters, marine surveyors, loss adjusters, and relevant internal stakeholders throughout insurance and claims processes.

Develop and implement risk mitigation programs, as well as conduct relevant training for internal stakeholders to enhance their understanding and competency in marine insurance.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a
• Marine Surveyor
• , preferably with exposure to marine insurance and claims.
• Good knowledge and familiarity with
• Hull & Machinery (H&M)
• and
• Protection & Indemnity (P&I)
• insurance for vessels.
• Good command of
• English
• , both written and spoken, with the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with international stakeholders.
• Proficient in
• Microsoft Excel
• and experienced in using relevant systems or insurance management platforms.
• Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
• Placement at Head Office, Surabaya.
