Investment & Corporate Development Associate

About the role

We are seeking an analytical, commercially minded, and hands-on professional to support investment, M&A, and business transformation initiatives across a diversified Indonesian business group. The role offers exposure to the full investment lifecycle, from evaluating investment opportunities and conducting due diligence to supporting transaction execution, business turnaround initiatives, and post-investment monitoring. The successful candidate will work closely with senior management and coordinate with business leaders, shareholders, investors, and external advisers across multiple industries. This position is suited to someone who combines strong financial and commercial analysis with sound judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple workstreams in a dynamic business environment.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate potential investment and acquisition opportunities through financial, commercial, and strategic analysis.
• Conduct market research, assess business models, review financial performance, and identify key risks and value drivers.
• Support buy-side and sell-side due diligence processes, coordinating financial, commercial, operational, and legal workstreams.
• Review financial information, business assumptions, and transaction-related documentation.
• Assess business performance, financial sustainability, operational challenges, and market positioning of existing businesses.
• Support the development of turnaround plans, business improvement initiatives, and financial or commercial restructuring proposals.
• Monitor the financial and operational performance of investments and portfolio businesses.
• Prepare periodic performance updates, management reports, and investor communications.
• Coordinate with finance, legal, operations, and other relevant functions to support investment and corporate development initiatives.
• Manage multiple projects and competing deadlines while maintaining the quality and accuracy of analytical work.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related discipline.

4–6 years of relevant experience in buy-side / sell-side transaction, corporate finance, investment analysis, M&A, private equity, venture capital, management consulting, or corporate development.

Strong financial analysis and modelling skills, including the ability to review financial statements, business plans, and valuation assumptions.
