Material Master Data Officer

• Master Data Officer

to support the development, migration, validation, and ongoing governance of material, service, asset, and inventory master data across enterprise systems.

This role will work closely with the Office of Strategy Management (OSM), Project Team, Procurement, Finance, Warehouse, IT, General Affairs, and other relevant functions to ensure master data is accurate, standardized, traceable, and aligned with SAP requirements. The position will also support physical asset and inventory verification activities as part of system implementation and post-Go-Live operations.

Job Responsibilities

Finalize new noun modifiers, material and service classifications, characteristics, and attributes, including standardized values for all mandatory attributes.

Remap existing item codes based on newly established noun modifiers and classifications to ensure alignment with SAP master data requirements.

Review and validate material and service item creation requests to ensure data accuracy, completeness, consistency, and compliance with established standards.

• Support users in creating Purchase Requisitions and ensure the submitted data complies with Finance and Procurement requirements.
• Migrate asset management data, including historical records, into SAP templates to support system continuity, accuracy, and traceability.

Map and validate cutover data within SAP templates, verify data completeness, identify discrepancies, and coordinate the necessary corrections.

Map ICT and General Affairs inventory data into the appropriate functional locations within SAP, as required.

Cleanse and map assets managed by General Affairs, Camp, and Facility functions into Darwinbox templates to support standardized asset tracking.

Conduct physical warehouse verification activities, including inventory checking, reconciliation, and re-labelling, to ensure system data reflects actual stock conditions.

• Verify physical assets and update asset labels to maintain data consistency, identification, and traceability.
• Control, monitor, maintain, and update SAP master data as part of the Master Data Team following system Go-Live.

Coordinate data-related activities with Project Teams, Warehouse Operations, IT, Finance, Procurement, General Affairs, and other relevant stakeholders.

Support work programs, projects, and activities established by the Office of Strategy Management.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Supply Chain Management, Asset Management, or another relevant discipline.
• Minimum
• 5 years of experience in master data management
• , preferably within the Oil & Gas, Ammonia, Petrochemical, EPC, or Asset Management Services industries.

Hands-on experience in Asset Management Services within an Oil & Gas company or EPC project, preferably involving an Ammonia or Petrochemical project.

Strong understanding of item master creation philosophy, including material and service classification, noun modifiers, characteristics, attributes, and standardized attribute values.

• Strong understanding of functional location, asset, equipment, and tag number hierarchy.
• Strong knowledge of asset master specifications and Bill of Materials.
• Experience in warehouse physical verification, inventory validation, and asset or material re-labelling.
• Proven experience in controlling, monitoring, cleansing, and migrating master data within enterprise systems such as SAP or IBM Maximo.
• Familiarity with SAP, IBM Maximo, and document management systems, particularly SharePoint Online.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, particularly Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, presentation, and data validation skills.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.

Strong communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple departments and with external agencies or vendors.
