Operational Internal Audit Staff - Retail

As a Retail Internal Audit Staff, you will be responsible for conducting risk-based audits across our retail stores to ensure operational compliance, strengthen internal controls, and improve business processes. You will work closely with management to identify risks, provide recommendations, and support continuous operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Risk-Based Audit: Conduct end-to-end audit activities, including audit planning, data preparation, sampling, fieldwork, and audit execution based on risk-based audit principles.
• Audit Reporting: Prepare audit reports, findings, and recommendations, and present results to management and directors when required.
• Follow-Up Monitoring: Monitor and follow up on audit findings to ensure corrective actions are completed within agreed timelines.
• Compliance Monitoring: Ensure all retail stores comply with company policies, procedures, and operational standards.
• Internal Control Evaluation: Perform testing and evaluations of operational processes, internal controls, and risk management practices across retail stores.
• Documentation: Maintain complete and organized audit documentation, including hardcopy and softcopy records of audit activities and follow-up actions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as an Internal Audit Staff or Compliance Staff, preferably in the retail industry.
• Experience conducting end-to-end operational audits in retail stores is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of risk-based audit, audit principles, internal control, risk management, and retail business processes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, data processing and analysis, audit testing, audit report writing, and policy or SOP documentation.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to provide practical recommendations.
• Willing to travel for audits at stores within and outside the city.
