About the Role
We are looking for a Part Analyst to join the plant/workshop function of a mining operation in Berau, responsible for the analysis, planning and management of heavy equipment spare parts to support fleet availability and maintenance operations.
- Key Responsibilities
- Analyse spare parts usage, consumption trends and stock requirements for heavy equipment fleet.
- Plan and recommend spare parts stocking levels (min/max, reorder points) to support maintenance planning.
- Coordinate with Maintenance/Workshop teams to align parts availability with maintenance schedules.
- Monitor parts inventory accuracy, ageing/slow-moving stock and identify optimisation opportunities.
- Liaise with Procurement on parts sourcing, lead times and supplier performance.
- Maintain accurate parts master data, bill of materials and equipment parts catalogues.
- Prepare reports on parts availability, stock-outs, and cost of spare parts consumption.
- Support root cause analysis of critical parts shortages affecting equipment downtime.
Requirements
- Experience working at a plant/workshop handling heavy equipment spare parts.
- Thorough knowledge of spare parts for Hino, Komatsu, Caterpillar and Volvo units.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in inventory/parts planning.
- Familiar with parts/inventory systems (SAP or equivalent).
- Good coordination skills, able to work closely with Maintenance and Procurement teams.
- Willing to be based on-site in Berau.
- Education
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain or a related field.
