- We are looking for an experienced
- Purchasing Supervisor
- to strengthen our Procurement team and support our growing manufacturing operations.
- Job Responsibilities
As a Purchasing Supervisor, you will be responsible for
- Manage procurement activities for resin, chemical raw materials, and supporting materials.
- Source, evaluate, and develop local and overseas suppliers.
- Process Purchase Requisitions (PR) and Purchase Orders (PO) accurately and on schedule.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment with Production and Warehouse teams.
- Ensure purchased materials comply with product specifications, regulatory requirements, and company quality standards.
- Maintain supplier performance evaluations and procurement documentation.
- Analyze raw material market trends and price movements.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities through supplier development and strategic sourcing.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company procedures, ISO standards, and applicable regulations.
- Coordinate closely with Production, Warehouse, QA, QC, Finance, and other related departments.
Requirements
Education
Bachelor's Degree (S1) in one of the following
- Chemical Engineering
- Industrial Engineering
- Supply Chain Management
- Business Administration
- Management
- Chemistry
- Experience
- Minimum
- 6 years
- of experience in Purchasing or Procurement.
Experience in one or more of the following industries
- Chemical Manufacturing
- Resin Manufacturing
- Petrochemical
- Polymer
- Adhesive
- Coating
- Plastic Manufacturing
- Experience in sourcing chemical raw materials and managing both local and overseas suppliers is highly preferred.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of purchasing and procurement processes.
- Good understanding of resin and chemical raw materials.
- Able to read Technical Data Sheets (TDS), Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS/SDS), and product specifications.
- Excellent negotiation and supplier management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Table, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP), PowerPoint, and ERP/SAP systems.
- Good communication skills in English (written and spoken).
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, AEO, and SMK3 is an advantage.
