- Job Title
- QA Tester - Internal UAT & Release Readiness (Remote)
- Role Purpose
This role exists to protect delivery quality before anything reaches clients or production. The QA Analyst owns internal UAT execution across web, mobile app, and dashboard projects, ensuring that staging builds behave exactly as intended, match requirements, and are release-ready.
- Key Responsibilities
- Internal UAT Execution
- Conduct structured UAT on staging environments for web, mobile, and dashboard products
- Validate functionality against requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and designs
- Actively look for mismatches, broken flows, edge cases, and unexpected behavior
- Verify user journeys end-to-end, not just isolated features
- Validate non-happy paths, permission handling, and basic error scenarios
- Test Case & Scenario Management
- Create, maintain, and execute UAT test cases when required by the project
- Translate business requirements into clear, testable scenarios
- Ensure test cases are relevant
- Update test cases when scope or logic changes
- Maintain traceability between requirements and test coverage
- Defect Identification & Reporting
- Log defects with clear reproduction steps, expected vs actual behavior, and evidence
- Distinguish between blocker, major, minor, and cosmetic issues accurately
- UAT Reporting & Release Recommendation
- Produce concise UAT reports that PMs and stakeholders can actually use
- Clearly state UAT status: Pass, Conditional Pass, or Fail
- Highlight known risks, workarounds, and unresolved issues
- Provide a clear summary of UAT results and highlight risks for PM release decision
- Collaboration with PMs, Devs, and Designers
- Work closely with Tech Project Managers to align on UAT scope and timelines
- Clarify requirements early when they are ambiguous or incomplete
- Communicate issues objectively
- Process & Quality Improvement
- Help standardize internal UAT processes across projects
- Suggest improvements to test coverage, reporting format, and staging readiness
- Identify recurring quality issues and flag root causes
- Support PMs in reducing last-minute UAT surprises
- Post-Release & Maintenance Support
- Support validation of hotfixes and maintenance changes before redeployment
- Reproduce reported issues in staging to assist root cause investigation
- Required Skills & Experience
- Core Skills
- Strong understanding of web and mobile application behavior
- Solid grasp of software development lifecycle and release processes
- Ability to read and understand functional requirements and basic technical logic
- Excellent attention to detail without losing the big picture
- Clear written communication, especially for defect and UAT reporting
- Proefficient with AI tools
- Experience
- 2 to 3 years experience in QA, UAT, or product quality roles
- Hands-on experience testing web apps, mobile apps, and dashboards
- Experience working with staging or testings environments
- Experience creating and executing UAT test cases
- Experience working closely with PMs and developers
- Tools (examples, not mandatory)
- Test case management tools or structured spreadsheets
- Bug tracking tools such as Jira or Github Issue or similar
- Browser dev tools for basic inspection and debugging
- API testing awareness is a plus, not a must
