- Key responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day restaurant operations, including scheduling, staffing, and team management to ensure smooth service delivery
- Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and customer service in accordance with company policies and industry best practices
- Manage inventory control, stock levels, and supplier relationships to optimise costs whilst maintaining quality standards
- Handle customer complaints and concerns professionally, ensuring guest satisfaction and loyalty
- Train, mentor, and motivate staff members to deliver exceptional service and maintain a positive workplace culture
- Monitor financial performance, including revenue targets, expenses, and profitability metrics
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations and maintain a clean and safe restaurant environment
- Develop and implement marketing initiatives and promotional strategies to attract new customers and increase revenue
- Conduct regular staff meetings and communicate company policies, procedures, and performance expectations
- Manage restaurant bookings, reservations, and special events to maximise capacity and customer satisfaction
- What we're looking for
- Proven experience of at least 3-5 years in restaurant management or a similar hospitality leadership role
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff
- Excellent customer service orientation and the ability to handle difficult situations with professionalism and diplomacy
- Sound knowledge of restaurant operations, including food and beverage management, inventory control, and financial management
- Understanding of health, safety, and food hygiene regulations and compliance requirements
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders
- Proficiency in restaurant management software and point-of-sale systems
- Problem-solving ability and resilience in a fast-paced, demanding environment
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required
