The HRD Officer is responsible for overseeing the development and well-being of employees within the organization. This role involves designing, implementing, and managing talent development strategies, performance evaluations, and ensuring employee satisfaction and engagement. The HRD officer plays a critical role in shaping the organization’s culture, improving retention, and promoting continuous learning and development.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruitment and Selection:Manage the full recruitment cycle, from job postings to conducting interviews and facilitating the selection process.
- Develop recruitment strategies to attract high-quality candidates.
- Work with department heads to determine hiring needs and create job descriptions.
Onboarding and Orientation
- Oversee the onboarding process, ensuring that new hires are well-integrated into the company culture.
- Design and deliver orientation programs for new employees.
Employee Development and Training
- Create and implement training programs and employee development plans.
- Conduct skills gap analyses and identify training needs across departments.
- Ensure employees are developing and growing in their careers through ongoing training opportunities.
Performance Management
- Oversee performance appraisal systems and ensure timely completion of reviews.
- Provide coaching and feedback to managers and employees to improve performance.
- Design systems to reward and recognize high performers.
Employee Relations
- Act as a mediator between employees and management to resolve conflicts and address grievances.
- Implement employee engagement initiatives to maintain a positive working environment.
HR Policies and Procedures
- Develop, implement, and update HR policies in line with labor laws and company needs.
- Ensure all policies are communicated clearly to employees and followed correctly.
Talent Retention and Succession Planning
- Develop retention strategies to minimize employee turnover.
- Plan for succession in key roles by identifying and developing future leaders within the organization.
HR Metrics and Reporting
- Monitor and analyze HR data such as retention rates, employee satisfaction, and training effectiveness.
- Generate reports for senior management on HRD initiatives and outcomes.
