UAT Data Quality Engineer (Banking Project)

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Good English communication skills, both written and verbal, for communication with business users, technical teams, and stakeholders.

Minimum 2–4 years of experience in Data Quality, Data Engineering, UAT, Data Analyst, or related roles, preferably within the banking or financial services industry.

Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical/data-related findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Strong proficiency in SQL for data validation, data analysis, reconciliation, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Cloudera, particularly Impala and/or Hive, for querying and analyzing large datasets will be a plus
• Experience working with Teradata and understanding of enterprise data warehouse environments will be a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Macro, and VBA for data processing, validation, reporting, and automation will be a plus
• Knowledge of Python for data analysis, validation, automation, and data quality activities will be a plus

Good understanding of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) processes, including test preparation, test execution, defect identification, data validation, and reporting

Strong knowledge of banking business processes and banking data, with the ability to understand data requirements and identify potential data quality issues will be a plus

Good understanding of the user’s data area/business data domain, including data sources, data flows, business rules, and data relationships will be a plus
