- Job Title: Exhibition Operations Manager

- Overview
The Exhibition Operations Manager oversees the planning, coordination, and on-site delivery of trade shows and events, including conferences. This role ensures all operational elements — from venue management to contractor coordination — are executed to international standards while creating a seamless experience for exhibitors, visitors, partners, and sponsors.
- Key Responsibilities
- Event Planning & Strategy
- Develop operational plans, timelines, and budgets for exhibitions.
- Map floorplans, zoning, and overall show layout based on commercial and visitor flow needs.
- Coordinate with sales, marketing, and project teams to align event operations with show objectives.
- Vendor & Contractor Management
- Source, negotiate, and supervise contractors (booth builders, AV, freight forwarding, registration, security, cleaning, etc.).
- Ensure all vendors deliver high-quality services on time and within budget.
- Venue & Logistics Coordination
- Liaise with venues for hall booking, facilities, utilities, safety requirements, and operations schedules.
- Oversee logistics such as exhibitor move-in/move-out, storage, transportation, and access control.
- Exhibitor Operations Management
- Develop and manage the Exhibitor Manual, technical guidelines, and operational information.
- Lead exhibitor briefing sessions and provide solutions for operational/technical issues.
- Ensure booth installations comply with safety, design, and venue regulations.
- Health, Safety & Compliance
- Implement safety protocols in accordance with local regulations and venue policies.
- Ensure event compliance — including insurance, permits, security plans, and emergency procedures.
- On-Site Event Management
- Take charge of all operational matters during build-up, show days, and teardown.
- Manage on-site teams, contractors, and venue relations to ensure smooth execution.
- Troubleshoot issues quickly and effectively under time-sensitive conditions.
- Post-Event Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Conduct operational debriefs with internal teams and contractors.
- Evaluate performance metrics, identify improvements, and recommend upgrades for future events.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Events Management, Logistics, Architecture, or related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in exhibitions, trade shows, or large-scale event operations.
- Skills & Competencies
- Strong project operations management, budgeting, and vendor coordination skills.
- Ability to read technical layouts (floorplans, booth drawings).
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making under pressure.
- Strong communication skills (

- Hands-on, disciplined, and highly organized with a strong attention to detail.
