The HVAC Manager is responsible for overseeing the operation, maintenance, and performance of HVAC systems across assigned properties to ensure optimal functionality, energy efficiency, and tenant comfort. This role manages preventive and corrective maintenance activities, supervises technical teams and vendors, and ensures all HVAC systems operate in accordance with safety standards and operational requirements.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in HVAC operations, building engineering, facility management, or property maintenance, with strong technical knowledge and leadership capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily HVAC operations, maintenance activities, and system performance across assigned properties.
- Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance for air conditioning, ventilation, and mechanical systems are executed properly.
- Conduct routine inspections and troubleshooting for HVAC equipment and building systems.
- Supervise HVAC technicians, vendors, and maintenance teams to ensure service quality and operational efficiency.
- Monitor system performance, energy usage, and maintenance records to support operational reliability.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, operational SOPs, and engineering regulations.
- Handle technical issues, breakdown escalations, and emergency maintenance response.
- Coordinate with property operations, facility teams, and external vendors regarding HVAC-related projects and maintenance activities.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system efficiency and tenant comfort.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Facilities Management, Building Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in HVAC operations, building engineering, facility management, or property maintenance.
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and building operations.
- Experience leading technical or maintenance teams.
- Strong technical analysis, problem-solving, and coordination skills.
- Detail-oriented, hands-on, and capable of working in fast-paced operational environments.
- Willing to work mobile and manage operational schedules when required.
