CLAY Bali is a new premium restaurant and lounge opening in Ubud. We are currently in the pre-opening stage and are building a strong finance team for the launch and future operations of the restaurant.

• We are looking for an experienced
• Accountant / Chief Accountant
• who will be responsible for accounting and tax compliance, financial discipline, document control, and accurate and timely reporting.
• Main Responsibilities
• Maintain full accounting and tax records for the restaurant.
• Manage accounting operations across multiple legal entities.
• Correctly allocate income and expenses between legal entities.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Control the accuracy of all payments and accounting transactions.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Monitor bank accounts and perform bank reconciliations.
• Control cash transactions and petty cash.
• Prepare and verify payroll.
• Control service charge, tips, overtime, and other staff payments.
• Coordinate with Indonesian tax authorities and external tax consultants.
• Monitor tax deadlines and ensure timely submission of reports.
• Verify invoices, receipts, contracts, delivery notes, and other financial documents.
• Control expenses against the approved budget.
• Support the preparation of cash flow, P&L, budgets, and management reports.
• Review purchasing documentation and supplier payments.
• Work closely with the Purchasing Manager, Storekeeper, and department heads.
• Participate in and control inventory counts.
• Monitor food cost, beverage cost, and operating expenses.
• Manage the financial side of the POS system.
• Perform daily sales reconciliation.
• Organize and maintain the financial document archive.
• Prepare reports for the CFO, General Manager, and Owner.
• Identify financial risks, discrepancies, and missing documentation.
• Build a transparent and disciplined accounting system for the restaurant.
• Key Requirements
• Previous experience as an Accountant, Chief Accountant, or Senior Accountant.
• Practical accounting experience in Indonesia.
• Strong knowledge of Indonesian accounting and tax regulations.
• Experience dealing with Indonesian tax authorities and tax consultants.
• Experience in restaurants, hotels, or hospitality is strongly preferred.
• Experience working with multiple legal entities or business divisions.

Practical experience with

P&L;

• beverage cost.
• Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills.
• Experience with accounting software and POS systems.
• Experience with iiko will be an advantage.
• Ability to prepare management reports independently.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good analytical and organizational skills.
• High level of responsibility, honesty, and confidentiality.
• Fluent Bahasa Indonesia.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Based in Bali or ready to work in Ubud.

• Reporting Line
• The Accountant / Chief Accountant will report to the
• Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

and work closely with

• General Manager;
• Owner;
• Purchasing Manager;
• Storekeeper;
• Restaurant Manager;
• Brand Chef;
• Head Bartender;
• Operations and Facility;
• external tax consultants.
• Main Result of the Position

The accounting and financial system of CLAY must be

• transparent;
• properly documented;
• tax compliant;
• timely;
• controlled;
• clear to the CFO, General Manager, and Owner.

All payments, income, expenses, taxes, payroll, invoices, and bank transactions must be accurately recorded, reviewed, and supported by proper documentation.
