TEST ENGINEERING MANAGER

• Role Purpose
• Own and lead all product test engineering and test operations at site level
• Ensure robust test coverage, high test yield, and low escape rate to meet customer, quality, cost, and delivery objectives
• Act as the technical authority and escalation owner for manufacturing test issues
• Key Responsibilities
• Test Strategy & Governance
• Define and execute site test strategy aligned with customer requirements and corporate standards
• Standardize test methodologies, specs, documentation, and best practices across site
• Test Deployment and Verification

Lead the deployment and verification, and release of

• ICT (Boundary Scan / JTAG)
• Flying Probe
• Functional Test (FCT) Engage with SG Engineering
• System / Box Build / Burn-in test Engage with SG Engineering
• Ensure test solutions are cost-effective, scalable, and manufacturable
• Approve test readiness for NPI → MP transition Engage with SG Engineering
• Manufacturing Support & Yield Improvement
• Provide line support for test yield loss, false failures, and coverage gaps
• Lead root cause analysis (RCA) using data-driven and structured problem-solving methods

Drive continuous improvement in

• First Pass Yield (FPY)
• Escape rate
• Test cycle time
• Equipment, Fixture & SW Management
• Own test equipment roadmap, capacity planning, and utilization
• Ensure proper calibration, maintenance, and lifecycle management
• Oversee test software version control, change management, and cybersecurity compliance
• Manage external vendors for fixtures, probes, testers, and adapters
• Spare parts and yearly budget management
• People & Organization Leadership
• Build and manage Test Engineering and Test Technician teams
• Coach, mentor, and develop technical capability and succession pipeline
• Set KPIs, performance goals, and training plans
• Enforce safety, discipline, and engineering rigor on shopfloor
• Customer & Cross-Functional Interface
• Primary site test focal point for customer technical engagement Engage with SG Engineering
• Support customer audits, failure analysis reviews, and test coverage discussions

• Test FPY / Retest Rate
• Escape Rate (Test & Field)
• Test Coverage vs Requirement
• Test Cost per Unit
• NPI Test Readiness & Ramp Stability Engage with SG Engineering
• Mean Time to Detect / Resolve Test Issues
• Repairing cost (MRB/ Attrition) measurement and improvement program
• Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field
• 10+ years experience in EMS / high-mix electronics manufacturing
• 5+ years leadership experience in Test Engineering
