Job Description
We are seeking a Technical Manager with strong AWS expertise to lead technical teams, guide cloud strategy, implementation, and operations on Amazon Web Services, with a focus on cost optimization, security, performance, and customer success.
This role requires deep AWS knowledge, project management capabilities, and strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills to manage complex, large-scale cloud environments for an e-commerce business.
- Job Location: Full-time and on-site in Jakarta, Indonesia.
- Role Overview
As the AWS & Technical Manager, you will be responsible for our cloud infrastructure and system performance. You will collaborate closely with product, application development, data, and operations teams to ensure the platform remains fast, secure, reliable, and scalable, even during peak demand.
- This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys building, optimizing, and scaling real-world products.
- Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership: Oversee and manage overall cloud architecture, design, and deployment of AWS solutions aligned with business objectives.
- Customer Advocacy: Act as a primary technical point of contact and advocate for customer needs on the e-commerce platform.
- Operational Excellence: Drive process improvements, monitor performance, optimize cloud costs, and ensure quality assurance.
- Design & Implementation: Architect and build scalable, cost-effective, and secure cloud infrastructures and applications using AWS services.
- Collaboration: Work with development, operations, and business teams to ensure successful implementation of solutions.
- Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, architecture designs, and implementation blueprints.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with emerging cloud technologies and industry trends.
- Essential Skills
- AWS Expertise: Strong knowledge of core AWS services including compute, storage, networking, databases, and security.
- DevOps & CI/CD: Experience with Jenkins, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Security & Compliance: Implement IAM policies, VPC configurations, and cloud security best practices.
- Project & People Management: Strong leadership, team management, and stakeholder communication skills.
- Soft Skills: Analytical thinking, problem-solving, customer empathy, and influencing capabilities.
- Essential Qualifications & Certifications
- AWS Certification: AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional) is highly preferred.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Infrastructure Knowledge: Strong understanding of data centers, networking, and IT infrastructure.
Requirements
- Must-Have
- 5–8 years of experience in AWS cloud and infrastructure management.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS core services.
- Solid knowledge of Linux, networking, and cloud security.
- Experience setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of scalable backend architectures and APIs.
- Nice-to-Have
- Experience with high-traffic consumer applications or e-commerce platforms.
- Exposure to quick-commerce, logistics, or marketplace platforms.
- Experience with microservices and container technologies (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Experience working in startup or high-growth environments.
